Spray paint lesson

This was a $10 Yard Sale find.
It is a old bar cabinet that turns into a tray when the hinged top opens...pretty cool!
I initially wanted to do stain since it has such pretty grain, it was my first attempt.
All I have to say is I detest the stain process, it takes too long, too many steps... I like quick results. So I spray painted it.
Lessons learned:
I do not like Satin finish spray paint, I much prefer gloss enamel.
Do not use spray paint primer, it made no difference...it still took 5 cans and isn't exactly smooth looking.
Josh tried to throw it out twice while I was in the process of trying to make it work.
