Coupon Crazy

A little over a month ago I was introduced to a whole new exciting world...the world of blogging. For a few years now I have been hearing "oh this is soooo going in THE blog" from my sister Rachel, and I always look foreword to reading the way she tells a story with our family events.  I finally said ok, and we spent the morning on the phone with each other setting up my blog and picking out a cute background.
After making a few posts I started to search other blogs, my word searches included... moms, money saving, deals and coupons. I have always loved great deals, who doesn't?  During my 11 years with Target I have been at the right place at the right time many many times,  but I always spend too much on groceries! I've tried to get the coupons before I go shopping but it never seemed to be worth it for me, but I've seen and heard people saving tons of money doing it, and so my quest began.
I came across a blog about a mom( Sheryl) who spends almost nothing...for a lot of what her family needs, using coupons. She stock piles items when an awesome deal occurs. Sheryl blogs the store's ad highlights and what items match up with what coupon AND the link to get it! There are usually several posts a day with new deals or tips that someone else passed on to her. She tells cute stories about her kids and her coupon obsession. I love her!
Since finding http://www.centsableshoppin.com/   I check her site at least twice a day for coupons I should print, learning her methods and just exploring her site and her blog roll. The best part is that she lives in Phoenix so we have the same stores and most everything she posts also applies to Tucson.
So for about a month now I have been shopping at Frys, reading Sheryl's blog and stock piling. I've saved on average 60% every time I shop. Last night was my best one yet! Partly due to the fact that you can get $25 on your VIP card for each prescription that you transfer. Sorry Target...its only because of the money. Josh already had a run- in with his Pharmacist..."so Fry's called...whats up with that?" Haha. Target, we both have given you our blood, sweat and tears, so Frys can have our prescriptions for awhile! Anyway, I had $50 on my VIP card. Plus another store coupon (which they will take for a limited time) for $10 off a $50 purchase. Plus my coupons. This is how it turned out.

53 bucks! Not bad. I am still learning but it has quickly become my new obsession and hobby.
